Spiral Staircase County Antrim
Case Study – Model 71
Having spotted a similar case study on our website, our client submitted the form at the foot of the page and we emailed across a quotation. The spiral stair was just what he was looking for his large refurbishment in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. To be sure of his decision, he flew from Belfast to Southampton to visit our showroom in Romsey (15 minutes from the airport) and an order soon followed.
The specification was a model 71 spiral with oak treads, curved glass balustrade and mini glass riser infills to reduce the gap between the treads. It was important to allow the passage of light as well as becoming a feature in the new, large vaulted room.
Every couple of years we run a staircase photo competition which our client entered and won by sending in the attached photos. We are sure you will agree with the panel of judges that the spiral in the setting look fantastic
New Spiral Staircase
The model 71 spiral staircase is a custom made model with no model supplied being exactly the same. Each is available in a number of hardwood treads and there is a choice of several balustrade structures around the side of the spiral.
The spiral is made specifically to the height required and the stair designed so that the entry and exit point work in the setting, easing the flow of traffic from one floor to the next. This rotation is altered by changing the angle of each treads and the shape and position of the top platform.
