Spiral Staircase Guernsey
Case Study- Model 76
Our customer in this project was replacing an existing dilapidated spiral staircase which was causing concern.
Its replacement was part of a larger refurbishment within the property and we were originally contact by the client when they spotted the model 76 on our website. They had filled in one of our contact forms and had received a price before making the decision to visit our showroom here in Romsey.
The renovation works involved the addition of many windows and our client was keen to maintain the passage of light through the house. The model 76 spiral was a clear winner with its glass treads and stylish good looks.
Vertical stainless steel spindles were selected around the spiral staircase and these were topped with a stainless steel handrail. This balustrade structure continues around the opening at the first floor level.
Our happy client sent these pictures to us after they moved back in.
Replacement Spiral Staircase
The model 76 spiral staircase is a custom made model. Each spiral purchased is manufactured specifically for the floor to floor height of the property. The rotation is carefully thought out ensuring the entry and exit points work given any constraints in the vicinity.
Our customer selects the treads they prefer (acrylic or glass on the model 76) and the balustrade type. Vertical spindles are a popular option but we can also offer curved acrylic or glass panels or horizontal stainless steel bars. In this project the client opted for the smaller profile spindles – 10mm in diameter.

Comment on Spiral Staircase Guernsey – Model 76 from Complete Stair Systems
" this model 71 spiral was a great addition to this refurb. The customer didn’t like the 16mm normal stainless spindles so we altered the balustrade to consist of 10mm verticals.2
