Model 500 Staircase
The Model 500 staircase is a contemporary design featuring steel stringers and timber treads. It is an open flight intended to be the centerpiece in a room or hallway and is fully custom-made to the required height. Many choose frameless glass panels for the sides of the staircase, enhancing its transparent qualities. The steel stringers, which run along either side of the staircase, are available as flat plates or with a zig-zag effect on the top or both the top and bottom, offering a sleek appearance. Due to the strength of steel, the stringers are only 10mm thick, providing more usable tread space compared to conventional stairs.
The treads can be made from any hardwood, with oak, beech, and walnut being popular choices. The balustrade generally consists of glass panels, either fixed between stainless steel newels or bolted directly to the side of the steel stringer. The steelwork is typically powder-coated to a RAL colour or supplied in brushed stainless steel. Treads are often treated with a matte lacquer finish in the factory or sometimes oiled, depending on client preference.
This is a bespoke product, and each project is carefully designed before manufacture. The height, shape, going, and width of each flight are unique, making it a modern staircase. The design focuses on modern and light styles, with many models featuring open risers and minimalist materials to enhance transparency.
