Spiral Staircase Guernsey

Case Study Model 71

This model 71 spiral staircase was supplied to an Artist on the island of Guernsey. He was adding a level to his studio located in an adjoining barn and required access that didn’t take up too much space.

After discussing the  various tread options, our client settled for beech treads and handrail and the brushed stainless steel finish to the centre column and spindles.

Beech Spiral Staircase

The model 71 spiral stair is a diverse custom model manufactured uniquely for each client.  It is constructed with an inner steel central column which is then hidden by a series of brushed stainless barrels.  These barrels are separated by the sold timber treads.

Each Model is produced specifically for each customer. As each property is different, each spiral is drawn before production to ensure the entry and exit points are correct and there are no headroom issues.   The shape of the platform often varies from job to job to suit the opening.
