Project of the Month – December 2025
Spiral Stair Folkestone
Every customer has their own style and preferences, and we see it all the time—whether it’s stairs for a stately home in the Home Counties, a treehouse in the New Forest, or a glass house in Sandbanks. Material choices vary to suit the property, and styles range from contemporary to traditional. You just can’t pigeonhole a client’s needs.
This month’s project is a great example of a customer wanting a modern touch for their refurbishment. Renovating their property in Folkestone, they were installing an ultra-modern kitchen with a white tiled floor, abstract art, and stainless steel appliances. A spiral staircase was planned for one side of the kitchen to match its sleek, airy feel—clean lines and maximum transparency were essential.
They chose the model 76 spiral staircase with acrylic treads and platform, a brushed stainless steel handrail, and curved infill panels. Mini stainless riser bars were added to meet building regulations by reducing gaps between treads.
With a generous 2200mm diameter, the staircase works perfectly as the main stair in the house. The client was delighted with how beautifully the spiral and kitchen complemented each other.
The model 76 is also available with glass treads—check out the Glass Spiral Staircase page for more inspiration.
