Our client had recently purchased a bungalow in a generous plot down a leafy street in Chichester.  Planning permission had been sought to add a level to the property and extend the rear of the building and work had started on site.

We were approached to supply a staircase to link the levels.  After a visit to our showroom, our client settled upon the model 500 staircase which closely matched the open and modern style of the new refurbishment.

He liked the sleek appearance of the steelwork, the open risers which allowed the passage of light and the fact he could match the colour of the stringer to the windows he was having.

The staircase formed a quarter turn configuration, and we designed a 13 riser flight with winding treads.  He opted for oak treads to match his new flooring and L shaped down-stands to the steps to reduce the gap between the treads for building regulations.

The transformation of the building was spectacular, and our staircase suited the setting perfectly.
