Situated along a quiet country lane, merely a mile from Guildford town centre, our client undertook the extension of their property with a two-story link addition to accommodate their growing family. This new extension was designed to provide increased living and working space, as well as enhanced storage capacity.

As part of this project, access to the upper loft space was required, necessitating the installation of a small spiral staircase. After evaluating several options, including various off-the-shelf kit solutions, it was determined that a standard solution would not adequately complement the style and scale of the extension. Consequently, a bespoke model was selected, with our client opting for our Model 71 spiral staircase.

Due to the limited space available and the need to maintain a downstairs thoroughfare, the spiral staircase was constructed with a 1100mm diameter. The staircase featured oak treads and handrails, while horizontal stainless-steel bars formed the balustrade around the stair and the floor opening upstairs.

This custom loft spiral staircase integrated seamlessly with its surroundings, enhancing both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
