In the borough of Shoreditch, East London, our client was renovating her property. Shoreditch is a fashionable area, neighboring the equally stylish district of Hoxton. It’s a hub for young creatives and trendsetters who frequent the chic clubs and bars. The diverse dining scene offers everything from trendy chain eateries and upscale gastropubs to artisanal coffee houses and noodle bars. There’s also an abundance of vintage and design stores.

Our client needed a compact spiral staircase for roof terrace access, opting for the sleek and stylish Model 76 spiral. This model features glass or acrylic treads with a brushed stainless steel central column, creating an open, airy feel. For this project, the staircase was provided with a 1500mm diameter, 16 risers, and a square top platform. The 30mm laminated glass treads were chosen, along with curved perimeter panels to maximise lightness.

The staircase was delivered towards the end of construction to avoid tread damage, and the client shared several photos post-installation.
