Bespoke Timber Staircase Cambridge

An impressive half turn staircase was required for this new build in Cambridge and that was what we delivered! This solid maple staircase included a half platform to allow a gallery area to view the impressive rear garden. Positioned in front of the only window in the hallway it was important the staircase didn’t block out the light but instead let it pass through. To aid this we went for open risers and glass infill panels in the balustrade. The result was a fairly traditional staircase in solid timber with light and modern elements.

Maple Staircase

The word ‘Standard’ refers to the conventional double stringer support structure but these timber stairs are by no means ‘standard’ in appearance. Constructed with 2 x 42mm solid timber stringers, these models can be supplied in a traditional style as well as contemporary. They are manufactured as straight flights, quarter turns and half turns and can incorporate Volute handrail designs and glass panels (for example).  Please have a look at the full range of balustrade options to personalize your staircase.
