Shaftesbury, Wiltshire was the location of this lovely model 71 spiral staircase supplied for a refurbishment. The spiral itself was accessing a loft area and was 1.5m in diameter, fitting snugly to a partly curved wall. It had 40mm solid Oak treads, a 50mm diameter oak handrail (supplied in one piece) and brushed stainless steel spindle and centre column barrels.
The model 71 is probably our most popular domestic spiral staircase. Being custom made, the rise / going / rotation / entry and exit point / material options are all selected for the specific customer.  In this particular instance we had to exit directly under the apex of the roof above to achieve maximum headroom upstairs. At the same time we had to ensure the entry to the spiral staircase was away from the curved wall whilst providing sufficient clearance for headroom from the treads spiralling above.
