BESPOKE STAIRCASE SURREY

Been a little slack of late with the news section – busy moving into the new premises and will post pictures soon.  Dont worry!

Meanwhile have a look at these pictures of a bespoke staircase supplied to a customer in Esher, Surrey.

Bespoke Staircase Surrey 4

The stair itself was formed a straight flight at the bottom then twisted around into a spiral after 6 steps.  It was accessing a basement refurbishment and had to fit into a tight curved wall stairwell.

Bespoke Staircase Surrey 1

Light and open feel to the flight was the requirement for this bespoke staircase to maximise to light into the basement.  The model we supplied had open risers, solid oak treads and white powder coated stringers / centre column to blend in well with the white wall behind.

Bespoke Staircase Surrey 2

There were glass panels to either side of the straight flight with a continuous stainless steel handrail running from the straight flight around the curved wall of the opening.

Obviously being a bespoke staircase full working drawings were prepared prior to manufacture.

Bespoke Staircase Surrey

Bespoke Staircase Surrey.

Bespoke Staircase 1

Bespoke staircase supplied to a family in Surrey as part of their property refurbishment.  The existing staircase was to be removed, the floor opening increased and a new full height window installed.  Passage of light was the key in our customer’s decision to opt for the open model 500 bespoke staircase.

Bespoke Staircase 2

The stepped style Steel stringers both side of the flight supported the solid beechwood treads, and the glass balustrade maximised the amount of light able to pass through the stair and into the adjoining room.  The stringers were powder coating to a RAL colour the customer selected and the beechwood handrail matched the beechwood treads.

Bespoke Staircase 3

As this bespoke staircase was supplied to a family environment the gap between the treads had to be reduced whilst keeping a light feel to the flight.  The risers were in-filled with toughened glass panels set in groves in the treads.

Bespoke Staircase 3

This is the model 500 bespoke staircase which can also be supplied in a quarter turn and half turn configuration. The treads can be any hardwood and even glass or marble if required.  Get in touch and let us know your requirements.  01794 522444 info@completestairsystems.co.uk

21th December 2011

We supplied a staircase to a property featured as the cover story in the September edition of Homebuilding & Renovating magazine.  The property was truly stunning, an oak frame build with a stunning mix of traditional beams and contemporary features within.  Not least (as you would expect us the say) the staircase!

In keeping with the oak structure and the visual beams on display we went for oak treads supported by simple, clean white painted steel stringers.  The stair had glass riser fitted between each tread which along with the glass balustrade created a open and light feel to the flight.  It was positioned in front of the main entrance door and had to create an immediate impression when entering the property.  We certainly believe it does!

Some great pictures of a straight flight model 500 supplied to new build in Guildford.

This model had Oak treads with steel stepped stringers to either side.  The risers were fully closed with toughened glass infill panels and a floating, frameless glass balustrade was fitted to one side.

The result was a truly open, stunning staircase which enhanced the property and enticed people upstairs.

This laminated glass balustrade design is becoming very popular and we will have some more pictures to post soon of similar models.  This stair can be purchase in a quarter turn, half turn or straight flight and the frameless balustrade can also be supplied for landing levels.

Here are some other model 500 systems we have supplied around the country.
