Spiral Staircase and Staircase News

19th May 2012

A few pictures of a magnificent timber spiral staircase supplied to a customer in Dumfries.   As you can see from the pictures the stair had to exit directly in the centre of the apex roofline to maximise headroom.  A spiral was the only realistic solution without taking up too much space downstairs and dominating the room.  In keep with the solid oak beams in the property, the 1400mm diameter spiral staircase was constructed in solid oak with a steel centre column core.
