A few pictures of a magnificent timber spiral staircase supplied to a customer in Dumfries.  As you can see from the pictures the stair had to exit directly in the centre of the apex roofline to maximise headroom. A spiral was the only realistic solution without taking up too much space downstairs and dominating the room. In keep with the solid oak beams in the property, the 1400mm diameter spiral staircase was constructed in solid oak with a steel centre column core.
The solid oak handrail for this spiral was constructed and supplied in one piece!!
As this is a custom made staircase, full drawings are prepared prior to production.
We call this the model 70 timber spiral staircase and can be supplied in any hardwood. Currently being installed is a beech model 70 with closed risers and an external stringer wrapping around the flight – truly superb. Will sure post pictures as soon as we get them.
For a price we – all we need is the floor to floor height, diameter and the type of timber you would like. Email any plans to firstname.lastname@example.org or call the office directly to discuss – 01794 522444.
