Hi Ted,
To be honest they are provided with the staircase and are set in a recesssed grove within the tread. Each strip comes from a large roll which is just cut to size and then glued. The answer to your question is yes - we could sell them separatley but I would have to know the type of tread you wish to fix then to. If they are not fixed down properly they could become a trip hazard themselves.
If you like - call the office for a chat.

thanks

Hello,
This model is specifically called the 'WF' as it has no stringer donw the open side of the stair. It creates a very open, floating feel to the stair that allows the passage of light. The stair is supported by an extra deep handrail into which the spindles screw.
This model is in Oak but you can choose any hardwood (Oak, beech, Maple, Ash, Birch, Walnut ......) for this staircase. We do offer these timbers in our other modern timber designs which all differ in the way they are constructed / supported. We have 'Traditional' -<a href="http://www.completestairsystems.co.uk/straight_stairs.html#Traditional" rel="nofollow">http://www.completestairsystems.co.uk/straight_stairs.html#Traditional</a>Stepped -<a href="http://www.completestairsystems.co.uk/straight_stairs.html#Stepped" rel="nofollow">http://www.completestairsystems.co.uk/straight_stairs.html#Stepped</a> and Spirit styles - http://www.completestairsystems.co.uk/straight_stairs.html#Spirit

For a price for any style all we need to know is -
1-The shape of the stair
2- the height of the stair
3- the style of the stair (based on the above structure designs)
4-the timber

Thanks

Hello!

Looking around at the moment for staircase, not sure if this specific model is for me - does it have to be manufactured in Oak? Are there any other models you would recommend that are similar to this?

Thanks for posting. We could hold the stair for you but would have to charge a storage fee. Given the size of the product your best bet it to get the stair now and store in your factory. the Klan 1600mm diameter comes in a palletised box 1240 wide x 1000 deep x 580mm high. Total weight is around 230kg. When it arrives, the driver will be equiped with a pump truck and will wheel into your garage.
