Timber Staircase Pictures

In 2009 we supplied 8 staircases to a property developer building two new houses in Chiswick - West London.  These were delivered in the Autumn and the houses are now on the market.  A few weeks ago we got these pictures through of some of the flights supplied.

Whilst they did not go for the most modern / stunning designs, the ‘traditional’ style construction of the flights provided offered a more practical solution to the families they were looking to attract.

All the stairs were supplied in solid beech with a slightly darker stain applied in the factory.  The balustrade was made up of stainless steel spindles and a beechwood handrail.  The risers on 6 of the stairs supplied were open to allow the passage of light but were kept safe with a mini beech riser piece reducing the gap.

Oak Staircase

These photos were taken recently by us of a staircase supplied in Surrey.  It was a new timber frame construction and the client selected our traditional style staircase with glass panels.  The flight had open risers for the lower flight, a mid platform, and then closed risers for the final flight.  The stair was manufactuered in solid Oak.

Timber Stair - New pics!

These pictures were emailed over the weekend of a stunning Maple timber staircase installed in Cheshire.

The balustrade is made up from glass infill panels which also continues around the opening along the landing level.

This model has a large half landing and an enlarge bullnose step for tread 1.  The mini maple riser pieces keep the stair ‘open’ whilst complying with the 100mm gap rule.
You can see similar case studies using the links below-
What is crucial when pricing this type of stair (apart from the floor to floor height and stair width) is the type of timber and the configuration of the flight.  Please call the office to discuss - 01794 522444

Bespoke timber staircase

Some pictures just in showing a stunning half turn timber staircase installed earlier this year.  The second matching model down to the basement is being installed next week.

This model has oak treads and white painted stringers to both sides.  The internal stringer is curved at the turn to create an impressive swoop effect.

Custom Made Oak staircase

This stunning stair is based on our traditional structure.  Traditional by name but not by nature as you can see the modern twist using traditional materials.  We call it the traditional structure as the stair is supported by ‘conventional’ stringers to each side.
To view other stairs in the same ‘traditional’ structure by in different designs / materials please have a look here -
For a price, please let us know the configuration, the floor to floor height and an idea of the materials you would like.

Bespoke Spiral Stair - Winchester

Earlier this year we secured the contract to supply a large bespoke spiral staircase as part of a church hall renovation near Winchester in Hampshire.  It was to become a new domestic dwelling with a large spiral stair rising from the modern kitchen to the upper level.

We now have some pictures -

This spiral staircase was custom made for our client but is from our bespoke range of spirals which are all based on the same ’structure’ then personalised with types of treads, balustrade, height, diameter and colour.
You can see further examples at the bottom of this post-
As normal, to work out a price we need the floor to floor height and diameter.  Plus an idea of the type of treads and balustrade you would like.
